5 held with heroin worth 1.15 crore

Lucknow, Sep 9 (UNI) At least five people were arrested in separate districts of Uttar Pradesh with heroin worth 1 crore 15 lakh in the international market.

According to information received from police headquarters, in the last 24 hours, Special Operation Group (SOG) of police held three people and seized 650 gm of the psychotropic substance estimated at Rs 65 lakh near the bus station in Fatehpur.

In Mirzapur, a joint team of local police and SOG arrested two men and seized 500 gm of heroin, besides, three pistol, cartridges and two motorcycles in Ahrora town here, sources added.

The drug was estimated at Rs 50 lakh in the international market.
