Use of waste glass pieces to create artifacts

Tripura, September 8, 2008 : An artisan in West Bengal state uses glass breakage to produce objects of art and earns handsome monetary returns out of his innovative endeavor.

Nikhil finds solace in carving beautiful idols of various Hindu deities along with figurines of birds, which are a visual treat for any art lover. The adoration that he gets from his customers in India and abroad boosts his morale and makes him carry on his art, even after working full time in a government office.
