Man gets life for stabbing wife to death
Jagadhri, Sep 8 (UNI) A local court today sentenced a man, accused of stabbing his wife to death last year, to life imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, the accused Haneef Kalandar, was visiting his wife at her parental home in Dadba near here on October 9 last year, when a quarrel broke out between the couple.
In a fit of rage, Haneef attacked his wife with a sharp knife and stabbed her to death.
Giving the verdict within a year in the case, Sessions Judge Ritu Tagore today held Haneef guilty of murder and sent him behind bars for the life. The judge also slapped a fine of Rs 6000 upon him.
