KSRTC employees to get six pc wage hike
Bangalore, Sep 8 (UNI) Karnataka Transport Minister R Ashok today announced a six per cent wage hike for the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employees with retrospective effect from January this year.
Informing this at a press conference here, he said the issue of revision pending for the last four years, would be effective for the next four years.
The increase in salary would entail an additional financial burden of Rs 395 crore to the KSRTC, he added.
He said the Rs 100-crore loan would be raised from the Scheduled and Commercial banks for purchasing 900 new buses.
