HPPC signs Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC
Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) The Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) today signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for obtaining power from Rihand Power Project Stage-III.
The state would get 57 MW of power from this project scheduled for commissioning in the year 2011-12. However, final allocation would be decided by the Government of India in accordance with its applicable guidelines, an official spokesman said.
The PPA was signed by HPPC Chief Engineer G L Gomber and NTPC General Manager T R Sohal in the presence of Haryana Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Power) Ashok Lavasa.
The HPPC also signed supplementary agreement papers with NTPC for existing power projects.
