Hooda announces Rs two lakh for deceased woman teacher
Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs two lakh for the next of kin of the woman teacher, Raj Rani, who lost her life in the agitation by guest teachers in Rohtak yesterday.
In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister described it as a ''very unfortunate incident which occurred due to evil designs of some anti-social elements who, in the guise of teachers, resorted to firing indiscriminately''.
Mr Hooda said he has always kept the teachers in high esteem and given them a number of incentives. As some opponents were not able to digest the success of his Government, they were trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the state.
Mr Hooda, further said a magisterial inquiry had been ordered and investigation by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak would reveal the truth that whose bullet killed and injured teachers. Those found guilty would be dealt with sternly, he added.
