GE Shipping forms JV for subsea project opportunities
New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) GE Shipping Company Ltd today said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Greatship (India) Ltd (GIL), has entered into a joint venture with Norway-based DOF Subsea ASA.
GIL and DOF Subsea have entered into a joint venture to form a new company, which will be named ''Greatship DOF Subsea Pvt Ltd, a company statement said.
The new JV company will focus on subsea project opportunities in the Indian subcontinent, it added.
DOF Subsea is a world-wide supplier of subsea services with a presence in all the major offshore hubs in the world. The Group employs more than 800 skilled employees worldwide, 25 offshore vessels (eight under construction), 31 ROVs (10 more to be delivered), one AUV/UUV system and diving spreads.
