CPI(ML) demands judicial probe into Azamgarh violence

Lucknow, Sep 8 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) today demanded a judicial probe into the communal violence in the Azamgarh district yesterday.

Uttar Pradesh CPI (ML) secretary Sudhakar Yadav here said besides the probe, the kins of the deceased youth should be provided financial help.

Mr Yadav held responsible the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government in the state for yesterday's attack on BJP MP Yogi Adityanath's cavalcade.

The CPI (ML) leader further lambasted the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and other Hindu organistaions for evoking people in the name of ''Poorvanchal bandh.'' To hide its mistake, the administration was charging Muslims for the incident, but the fact was that it was only a Muslim who was killed in the violence, Mr Yadav added.
