2 killed, 1 hurt as Cessna crashes in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Sep 8: A trainee pilot and an instructor was killed as the Cessna plane crashed in a residential area of Hyderabad on Monday, Sep 8 injuring one on the ground. They were identified as Sreenivas and Neeraj Jain when the plane hit a pole in Sannat Nagar of West Hyderabad.
It was a narrow escape for residents of the locality as the damage could have been worse. So far, there are reports of injuries to only one resident. Officials of the Bureau of Aviation Security are at the crash site and have begun investigating the incident. The plane, which belonged to the AP Aviation Academy, had taken off from the Begumpet Airport on a training flight in the morning. While the reason behind the crash is still not clear, a senior Academy official said human error probably led to the incident.
