Census on govt, public sect, local bodies employees released

Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) The annual Census of the Government Employees Chandigarh Administration-2007 and Census of the Public Sector Undertaking and Local Bodies Employees of Chandigarh Administration-2007 was released by Special Secretary Finance-cum-Director Economic and Statistics, Raji P. Shrivastava, here today.

The Publications provides the data regarding Sanctioned posts, Filled-up posts, Basic pay etc. It also indicates the number of employees belonging to Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-Servicemen, handicapped persons, religion-wise, Sex-wise and on deputations from Punjab, Haryana and other States.

Total recruitment made on Ad-hoc&on Regular basis and number of employees Retired on Superannuation, Voluntary, Compulsory, Died in service, Terminated, Resigned and Backlog of posts reserved for SC, ST and OBC and posts abolished during the year 2006-2007 had also been shown. Number of contract employees working in the various departments of UT Chandigarh.

The group-wise data on the educational qualification acquired by the employees has been added in these publication.
