Punjab: CM greets people on 'Parkash Utsav'
Chandigarh, Sep 8: Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday, Sep 8 greeted the people of Punjab on the 'Parkash Utsav' of Baba Sri Chand, the eldest son of Guru Nanak Dev and the founder of an ascetic sect of Udasis.
In his message, Mr Badal said that on this sacred occasion all should take a vow to foster goodwill, communal harmony and love amongst the various sections of the society professing different faiths and religions.
The SAD-BJP government immediately after assuming office last year declared a gazetted holiday on the 'Parkash Utsav' of Baba Sri Chand, which falls tomorrow.
