4 criminals nailed in UP police encounter

Jaunpur, Sep 8 (UNI) Four inter-district criminals were nabbed during a police encounter in this Uttar Pradesh district today.

Police Superintendent Chandra Prakash said the sleuths of Jalalpur and Jafrabad police stations made the arrests near Haripur crossing.

The arrested, identified as Rajeev of Jaunpur and Satish, Pradeep and Nagendra of Varanasi, were on their way to execute some serious crime, the cop added.

A pistol and a haul of cartridges were also seized from them, he informed.

Mr Prakash also announced a reward of Rs 2,500 for the police team.
