1024 load carriers arrive in Kahsmir, 819 leave

Srinagar, Sep 8 (UNI) As many as, 1024 load carriers with essentials entered the Valley during last 24 hours.

Of these, 242 carried rice, 42 flour, 24 sugar, 17 chicken, 40 fresh fruit, 16 sheep, 71 diesel, 29 kerosene oil, 41 petrol, 75 LPG, 02 milk, 409 other commodities.

Also 16 empty trucks after off loading goods outside the Valley returned.

Giving these details here today, spokesman of the divisional administration said in all 1843 load carriers plied to and fro on the National Highway during the last 24 hours.

He said as many as, 819 load carriers left the Valley in the same period. Of these, 212 carried fresh fruit, 49 vegetables and 109 other commodities.

Also 449 empty tankers left the Valley after off loading fuel here.
