Youth assembly to devise ways to achieve UN's MDGs

Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) Around 1,500 youth from across India including several achievers, would participate in the Youth Assembly here to devise practical ways to contribute to the achievement of millennium development goals of United Nations.

To be held in Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam from September 12, the two-day Assembly would enable each participant to explore possibilities to make a difference to the world by becoming an aware and active citizen and confronting the challenges of the present, former DGP of Andhra Pradesh and Abhyasa school Chairperson R Prabhakar Rao told a press conference yesterday.

He said the aim of the meet is to sensitise the youth towards community service and social entrepreneurship.

Many achievers in their respective fields like Rajdeep Sardesai journalist, Lok Satta president Jaya Prakash Narayan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Karunya and others would participate in the meet.

The meet would be organised by Abhyasa Residential Public School located at Toopran.
