Taj hotels comes to Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 7(UNI) With the objective of providing finest service to the quintessential business-traveller, the Taj Hotels resorts and palaces is launching a new world-class business hotel in the city - the Taj Residency Thiruvananthapuram.

To be launched tomorrow, the Taj Hotels will house all contemporary facilities to make every customer's stay an unforgettable experience.

Announcing the launch here, Taj Residency Thiruvananthapuram General Manager Manoj Mathew said ''The hotel is a beautiful amalgamation of modern European and Indian design, reflecting the changing needs and lifestyle of today's clientele.'' ''We will offer our guest unparalleled service, encompassing the essence of Indian hospitality, synonymous with the Taj,'' he said.

He also stated that the city presented an excellent opportunity for a new-age business hotel such as Taj.

The Dodla International Limited, owners of the property, have entered into an agreement with the IHCL for operating the hotel for a period of ten years.

There are 137 rooms in total, of which 60 would be open from tomorrow.

Twist (a modern-styled bar),the Fifth Element (all-day dining restaurant), the Deli and modern banquet halls are all part of the Taj.

Mr Mathew said a Chinese restaurant and a Jiva spa will soon be opened. The Taj would also house a fully-equipped business centre, he added.
