SC Commission to visit Haryana tomorrow

Chandigarh, Sep 7 (UNI) The National Commission for Scheduled Castes headed by its Chairman Buta Singh will be here tomorrow to review various welfare schemes being run for the uplift of the community in Haryana.

Stating this here today, a state Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes spokesperson said the Commission would hold a meeting with the Haryana Social Welfare Minister, Chief Secretary and senior officials of the state to discuss the implementation of safeguard and development programmes for Scheduled Castes.

He said the Commission would also meet the representatives of the Scheduled Caste Associations of the state .
