New faces would be given chance in C'garh assly polls: Cong
Raipur, Sep 7 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Congress in charge General Secretary V Narayan Sami today said the party would provide tickets to fresh candidates during the upcoming state assembly elections.
Mr Sami, while addressing a press conference here before state election committee meeting, said the party would provide tickets to candidates two months before elections. More opportunities would be given to fresh candidates.
Pointing out that ability to win from a seat would be the most important criteria for giving ticket, he denied there was any quota for senior leaders.
''Recommendations of the Antony Committee would fully implemented,'' he said, without divulging details of these recommendations.
The Congress leader did not elaborate a clear stand about the anti-naxalite 'Salwa Judum' campaign stating that the party's view would depend upon the Supreme Court decision in this regard.
