Moderate quake jolts Andaman islands

New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) A moderate earthquake measuring 5.1 in the Richter scale today shook the Andaman islands, the Met department reported.

The tremors of the quake, which was epicentered at 12.9 degrees north latitute and 92.0 degrees east longitute, were felt at 1430 hrs.

However, there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage of property.
