IAF win in Twenty20 JCD cricket league
Sirsa, Sep 7 (UNI) Indian Air Force (IAF) snatched an exciting eight-wicket victory over Jannayak Chaudhary Devi Lal National Cricket Academy in the day-night match of the JCD International Twenty20 Cricket League at the JCD National Academy Stadium here last night.
IAF won the toss and elected to bat. They were restricted to 99 for 9 in 20 overs. Imran Khan (16), Varun Ranjan (15), Shreejith (14) and Bhowmik (15) were their main scorers.
Abhijeet Singh, captain Digvijay Singh and Rohit Saini got two wickets each for 12, 17 and 18 runs, respectively for JCDNC.
Despite a defiant 37 in 40 deliveries, JCDNC Academy could muster 91 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs Shakti Singh contributed 16 runs. No other JCDNC Academy batsman could reach the double figures.
