HUDA to be revamped to make it effective
Chandigarh, Sep 7 (UNI) In view of the fast urbanisation and colonization taking place in Gurgaon and other parts of the State, Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has decided to revamp the organisation to make it more efficient and effective.
Giving details of the restructuring exercise, a spokesman of HUDA said here today that a new post of Chief Engineer, one post of Superintendent Engineer and two posts of Executive Engineer had been filled by promotion, besides establishing Estate Office-II in Gurgaon.
He said that a new post of Zonal Administrator had also been created at Rohtak for focusing on new potential growth areas.
The nomenclature of the post of Chief Vigilance Officer-cum-Enforcement Officer had also been changed and the Enforcement Officer had been confined only to the removing of encroachment.
One post of Chief Vigilance Officer alongwith supporting staff had also been sanctioned, he added.
He said that special emphasis was being laid on the computerisation of various activities of HUDA. The process of computerisation of allottees' account had been taken up in a phased manner.
The web enabled application developed by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) comprising two modules, Plot and Property Management (PPM) and Financial Accounting System (FAS) had been implemented in Panchkula Estate Office on pilot basis, he added.
In PPM all sectors of Panchkula Estate Office had been made online and user ID and passwords had been issued to the allottees to enable them to see the details of their property anywhere, anytime and even the status of their applications could be tracked on the net, the spokesmansaid.
Single window counters had also been established for resolving all queries of the allottees. Besides three banks had also been identified wherein the allottees could deposit their dues and court cases were also being monitored through Court Case Monitoring System (CCMS).
He said that the same application had been implemented in Ambala Estate Office covering Urban Estates of Ambala and Narayangarh in house training programmes conducted for the users across all Urban Estates to enable them to operate the system and application software. Computers had been installed in Ambala Estate Office and Division Office for day-to-day operations.
Axis Bank and HDFC Bank had been engaged for the digitszation process. About 1.5 lakh plot files had been digitised so far by HUDA.
A state-of-the-art dynamic portal with payment gateway interface was also being established.
