Hindus observe Roza during Ramzan

Shajapur, MP, Sep 7 (UNI) With the objective of expressing solidarity to Muslims, a few Hindus in this district are observing 'Roza (fast)' in the holy month of 'Ramzan'.

Anil Kumar Bairagi and Shrenik Jain had been observing 'Roza' since the past four years and the practice continued this year too. Meanwhile, Virendra Anand and some other youths observed 'Roza' for two-three days as a symbolic gesture.

Agriculturist Anil said 'Roza' taught patience, perseverance and self-discipline. Shrenik offers his worship to God by observing 'Roza'.

Qazi Mohsin Ullah described this as an effort for strengthening communal harmony.

''Respecting every religion is part of Indian culture. The month of 'Ramzan' provided an opportunity to develop human values such as brotherhood and love,'' he said.
