Five people of a family commit suicide

Mysore, Sep 7 (UNI) In a heart rendering incident five members of a family died and two children are in serious condition after they committed suicide by consuming poison in a private hotel here today.

Police said that the victims hailed from Amalapura in Kerala, were identified as Indu, Bindu, Vijya, Vijyan Thambi and Irwin Petre.

All the victims consumed poison and they had given sleeping tablets to the two children-Anupama and Akhila who were admitted to K R Hospital.

The family members had checked in on September Four and had visited tourists places. However, the reason for the extreme step was not yet known.
