BJP MP Adityanath vehicle vandalised; tension prevails

Azamgarh/Lucknow, Sep 7: Tension broke out at Azamgarh town today, when an irked mob pelted the vehicles of BJP MP Yogi Adityanath with stones in Takia locality.

Police sources said couple of vehicles of BJP MP from Gorakhpur were damaged in the stone pelting, in which a few people also received minor injuries.

Reports also said police fired in the air to control the mob along with using force to protect the convoy of the MP.

Yogi was in Azamgarh to address a public meeting under his anti-terrorist rally.

Additional police have been rushed to the spot, while senior policemen were monitoring the situation.
