5 killed, 6 injured in road accident in Satara
Satara, Sep 7 (UNI) At least five persons died on the spot and six others were seriously injured when their jeep collided with a Maharashtra State Transport bus at Charegaon village near Umraj-Pathan road here today.
Police said the ST bus was coming to Pune from Kolhapur when the incident took place this evening.
Four of the deceased have been identified as Rajendra Bise (32), Suresh Patil (34), Prabhakar Sawant (50) and M V Manavachari (50), while name of the fifth person is yet to be ascertained, Police said.
The injured have been admitted to Karad Hospital, police added.
