3 dead, 12 injured in Gujarat road accident

Ahmedabad, Sep 7 (UNI) At least three people were killed and 12 others injured when a truck collided with a three-wheeler on Ahmedabad-Abu National Highway near Gambhoi village, about 10 kms from Himmtanagar town in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat today.

According to police sources, the accident took place around noon, when the truck driver, who was under influence of liquor, hit the three-wheeler, carrying a pilgrim party.

All the 12 injured were rushed to the civil hospital at Himmatnagar. However, three seriously injured devotees were shifted to Civil Hospital at Ahmedabad for further treatment.

The deceased had been identified as Sanjay Mangilal Prajapati (25), Mukesh Dilipbhai Prajapati (21), and Sailesh Balbhadra Prajapati (21).
