Two killed, 35 injured in accident
Karnal, Sep 6 (UNI) Two youths were killed and 35 others sustained injuries, seven of them seriously, when a Haryana Roadways Bus turned turtle in Indri in this district today.
The bus loaded with about 70 passengers, mostly students, was coming from Bibipur village when the driver lost control over the vehicle and the bus overturned near Ramba police station.
In the accident, two students of Khalsa College Karnal, identified as Sandeep, a student of B.A Part I, and Amit, a student of B.A II, died on the spot.
The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital, Karnal. The seven passengers who sustained critical injuries were referred to PGI Chandigarh and Ludhiana.
The driver and the conductor of the bus immediately fled away from the spot after the accident.
