Two die as earth caves in Kerala

Malappuram, Sep 6: Two people were killed when earth caved in and fell on a JCB at Aranjikunnu near Perintalmanna in the district today.

Police said Ratheesh(25) of Malappuram and Rishad, a native of Thamarasserry in Kozhikode, fell unconsious after earth caved in and fell on the JCB which they were operating.

They died at a private hospital.

The JCB was removing earth from a hillock when the mishap occurred, police added.
