Tiger run over by train in UP

Bahraich, Sep 6: A tiger was crushed to death after it came under a running train in Katarniya ghat forest conservation area here today.

Eight-year-old tiger sustained serious wounds after being run over by Gonda-Mailani passenger train near Bichiya village, forest official R K Singh said.

On being informed, the forest officials reached the spot, but the big cat had succumbed to its injuries, Mr Singh added.
