Madge bans daughter from showbiz during her schooling

Washington, Sept 6 : Madonna has banned her 11-year-old daughter from any showbiz work until she finishes school.

According to Star magazine, Lourdes - whose dad is fitness trainer Carlos Leon - has been approached to appear alongside Paul Bettany and Dakota Fanning in forthcoming comedy drama The Secret Life of Bees, reports Contactmusic.

But a source has revealed that "Madonna didn't work 'til after school and she wants it to be the same for Lourdes. She doesn't want her to enter that harsh world."

The source added that the Material Girl's reluctance to let her daughter work in films could be due to the bright lights of fame.

The source said: "Lourdes is pretty determined, so I predict a battle in the future."
