Agro Fest 2008 begins on Sep 8

Kottayam, Sep 6 (UNI) Agro Fest 2008 will be held here from September 8 to 11 under the joint auspices of the Plantation Corporation of Kerala (PCK) and State Agriculture Department.

Talking to the media yesterday, PCK Chairman T J Anjalose and Managing Director Babu Thomas said State Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran would inaugurate the festival.

Besides entertainment, stalls covering all areas of agriculture would find place at the exhibition.

Agriculture Seminar, Plantation Labourers Meet, Symposium on the Role of Plantation Sector in the Development of Agriculture and other programmes would be held as part of the exposition.

Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy, Rubber Board Chairman Sajen Peter, PDW Minister Mons Joseph and Labour Minister P K Gurudasan would be addressing various sessions.
