4 undertrials escape from jail
Mandsaur, MP, Sep 6 (UNI) Four undertrials, all residents of Rajasthan, escaped from Mandsaur Sub Jail in Madhya Pradesh in the wee hours today by scaling the wall, a senior official said.
Sohanlal Vishnoi and Chainram Jat, both residents of Bhuramalini village of Barmer district, Insaf Khan (24), resident of Gadhmila village of Barmer district, and Usman Shah, hailing from Ranouli village of Tonk district, managed to escape from the prison.
District Collector Gopal Krishna Saraswat said that the prisoners, all charged for drug smuggling, escaped by cutting the iron bars of their barrack and scaling the wall. An FIR was lodged against escapees.
Jail Guards Santosh Kumar and Mahesh Kumar, who were on duty during the incident, were suspended, he added.
