30 students hospitalised

Gulbarga, Sep 6 (UNI) Thirty students fell ill after consuming water from a tank at the Morarji Desai Residential School at Nidugonda village in Chincholi taluk of the district today.

Official sources said the students, after having breakfast, drank the water from the tank. After about half an hour they started vomiting.

They were rushed to the Primary Health Centre in Nidugonda, where ten of them were admitted. The other students were discharged after treatment.

Taluk Health Officer Rajkumar inspected the tank even as the parents of the students alleged that the tank had not been cleaned since long.
