Youth killed in water dispute

Shajapur, MP, Sep 5 (UNI) A 32-year-old youth, who was grievously injured in a conflict ensued between two groups of same community over water fetching dispute, died here today, police said.

Being irked over fetching water from public tap, six people stabbed Salim Rauf and Khalil Rauf in Nagnagani locality on Wednesday.

Critically injured Salim was admitted to a hospital in Indore where he succumbed to his injuries while Khalil was undergoing medical treatment.

A case was registered against the accused, police added.

This district received less than normal rains in this monsoon hence serious water crisis has been prevailing in the area forcing the district authorities to supply potable water on alternate days.
