Workshop on private equity begins in Chandigarh

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) A two-day extensive workshop on private equity organised by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), began at Chandigarh from today.

Private equity, which is a form of alternative instrument complementary to the stock and bond portfolios, has emerged as an important source of raising funds for promoters and companies with plans and innovative ideas.

Due to its growing popularity in the Indian capital market, the workshop has been organised to understand the private equity characteristics and how best to approach the construction and implementation of a PE portfolio.
