Freedm fighter VOC remembered in Puducherry

Puducherry, Sep 5: Floral tributes were paid to veteran freedom fighter P Chidambaram Pillai, fondly known as VOC on his 137th birth anniversary here today.

Puducherry Chief Minister V Vaithilingam, his cabinet colleagues, barring M Kandasamy, Legislators and senior officials of the territorial administration, were among those, who garlanded the VOC statue in front of the Legislative Assembly on behalf of the administration.

V O C Peravai functionaries also garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
