Three killed, one injured due to lightning

Nashik, Sep 5: Three people, including a 12-year-old girl were killed and one injured by lightning in three separate incidents across the district, on Thursday, Sep 5.

According to sources, Sangeeta Bhagat (resident of Ambad) died after she was struck by lightning while returning form school last evening.

In the second incident, Janardan Maule (40), resident of Saraste village in Trimbakeshwar taluka), died when lightning struck his house. His wife Jijabai was injured in the incident. However, their three children escaped safely.

In another incident, Laxman Chavan (70), resident of Mohandar, Daregaon village, Kalwan taluka, was struck by lightning while returning from farm.
