Seven die, 5 injured in tanker accident
Bidar, Karnataka, Sep 5 (UNI) Seven people, including two women and an eight-year-old boy were killed and five injured when an oil tanker rammed into an overloaded 'tum tum'(three-wheeler) on the National Highway at Humnabad in this district today.
All the victims were occupants of the three wheeler, police said.
The deceased were identified as Fadel Ben (50), Karuna Shivappa (20), Viswanathan Prabhu (20), Uday Manik (23), Nabi Saab (50), Vinayak Ashok (25) and the boy Sohail Alimuddin.
The injured were admitted to the government hospital here.
Vehicular traffic on the highway connecting Hyderabad and Pune was affected for some time, following the accident.
