Pankaj takes an ealy 4-0 lead over Geet Sethi
Bangalore, Sept 5 (UNI) World Billiards and Snooker Champion Pankaj Advani ran up an early 4-0 lead against veteran Geet Sethi at the end of the first session in the Finals of the ONGC IBSF World Billiards Championship (Points Format) being held at the KSBA hall here today.
Though Geet, an eight times world title winner, showed some resistance in the first game (90-150), he was forced to the corner for most part of the in the remaining three sets as Pankaj showed his immaculate touch.
Pankaj, the 2005 IBSF Championship winner, who sent out defending champion Rupesh Joshi in the Semifinals yesterday, did not give any chance for Geet to recover and went on finishing each of the four frame with finesse.
Despite the 0-4 lead, Pankaj can expect a backlash from Geet who had bounced back from a 0-3 and later a 3-5 deficit to down Devendra Joshi in the Semis yesterday.
The second session of the finals was slated for this evening.
