Mumbai's Shivaji Museum gets Rs 12.43 cr

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) The Culture Ministry has approved Central assistance of Rs 12.43 crore for modernisation of The Shivaji museum in Mumbai.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya had sought funds for its up-gradation to international standards.

An amount of Rs 4.5 crore has already spent on its modernisation, the Ministry said in a statement today.

The museum houses about 50,000 artefacts.
