Kingpin of fake currency racket arrested
Darbhanga, Sep 05 (UNI) Police today arrested the kingpin of fake currency racket from Sikta police station area in West Champaran district.
Police said a team of crime branch of the Maharastra police arrested Umesh Prasad with the help of local police after a tip off given by one Surendra Prasad, who was earlier arrested in Nagpur on August 31.
Surendra along with his two other accomplices was arrested in Nagpur on August 31 and fake notes of Rs 54,000 were also recovered from them during the search operation.
Umesh was the resident of Nepal and also associated with the proscribed CPI(Maoist), police claimed.
