JD(S) to announce name of 10 LS poll candidate
Mysore, Sep 5 (UNI) Senior Janata Dal(S) leader N Cheluvarayaswamy today announced that the party would soon announce the names of ten candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to newsmen here, he said the party has been preparing not only for the coming by-elections to the seven Assembly seats in the state, but also gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls next year.
The names of the ten candidates had already been identified and would be announced soon.
Referring to the alliance with the Congress in the by-elections, he said the alliance would be continued with the Congress which has taken up during the Karnataka Council polls.
Stating that an alternative to the ruling BJP's 100 days of government celebrations on September 9 and the JD(S) would be launching a statewide protest against the government on 8th day before the governments celebrations.
The party will highlight the BJP's lapses and false promises to the people, besides strengthening it by organising meetings and conventions across the state, he added.
