Siddharthnagar, Sep 5 (UNI) A local court has given nod to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the recently surfaced SBI Dumariaganj counterfeit racket for narco test of the prime accused and suspended cashier Sudhakar Tripathi and co-accused Abid Sheikh.

The SIT had sought court's permission for the same on wednesday and got it yesterday, official sources said today.

The accused would now be taken to Baglur for the test, the sources added.

The SIT had sent to jail the accountant Rajaram, who was taken into custody yesterday.

Earlier, Rajaram was removed from his post and attached to the bank.

On July 29, Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police had nabbed Sudhakar and seized Rs 7,21,000, including fake notes worth Rs 5,000 from his house and later requested the RBI for currency screening in SBI branch.

On August 5, a team of senior RBI officials reached the bank and after undertaking the work for two days they handed over the counting procedure to the SBI.

Later, Dumariaganj police station SO was suspended and sacked after being found guilty of misappropiating cash seized from Sudhakar's residence.
