Chinore encounter toll touches 12
Jammu, Sep 5 (UNI) The toll in the Chinore encounter has reached 12 with the death of an army jawan, who was critically injured in the indiscriminate firing by the militants in Kanhachak area on city outskirts on August 27, sources said here today.
''The jawan identified as Havaldar Netar Singh of Ist JAK Li succumbed to his injuries last night at Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi where he was referred from Jammu in view of his serious condition,'' official sources told UNI.
The body of the deceased will be brought to his native village Dhani Bhakhta in Kathua district this evening for the funeral with full military honours.
