15 policemen injured by mob attack in Morena

Morena, Sep 5: Atleast 15 police personnel were injured and their vehicles vandalised when a mob attacked them while agitating over the death of a teenager who was crushed by a truck in this district's Banmore area, police said on Friday, Sep 5.

''Shyamveer (16) was killed on the spot on Agra-Mumbai National Highway,'' said Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh adding that agitated people blocked the highway and pelted stone over police and injured them.

After bursting tear gas shells and on the persuasion of senior police officials the agitators lifted the chakkajam, he added.
