Tributes paid to Naoroji on 183rd birth anniversary

New Delhi, Sep 4 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, L K Advani today paid floral tributes to Dadabhai Naoroji's portrait in the Central Hall of Parliament House on his 183rd Birth Anniversary today.

Among others who paid tributes include Vayalar Ravi, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Overseas Indian Affairs, members of Parliament and former Members of Parliament.

The Secretary-General of Lok Sabha, P D T Achary, was also present.

A booklet containing the profile of Dadabhai Naoroji, brought out in Hindi and English by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, was presented to the dignitaries.

The portrait of Dadabhai Naoroji was unveiled by the then Speaker G V Mavalankar, in the Central Hall of Parliament House in 1954.
