Skoda to unveil Fabia's sport version in 2009
New Delhi, Sep 4: Skoda India, the fully-owned subsidiary of Skoda Auto of the Czech Republic, on Thursday, Sep 4 said it will launch the Skoda Fabia's sport version by next year.
Skoda India, which has already sold 6,000 units of Fabia during the current year, wants to be among top five players in the country in the span of three to five years. ''To be in top five players in India, we will launch four to eight new models spread across SUV, MPV and Fabia segment,'' Skoda Auto India Board Member (Sales and Marketing) Thomas Kuehl told reporters here.
Declining the company's plan to launch small car like Tata's Nano, he said, '' We will not launch anything like Nano, but we will certainly bring something like Hyundai's i-10, which will priced between Rs three to four lakh.'' The company, which plans to double its to 20,000 units this year, has installed plant capcity of 30,000 units per year.
