Power Finance signs JV agreement for Power Exchange
Mumbai, Sep 4 (UNI) Power Finance Corporation has signed a joint venture agreement with NTPC, NHPC and Tata Consultancy services to incorporate a JV for setting up a Power Exchange at the national level.
A PFC statement here said the JV agreement was signed yesterday.
The company would be registered as a public Limited company with the Registrar of companies, having an authorised share capital of Rs 50 crore.
The Company would provide a neutral and transparent electronic platform for trading power on ''day-ahead basis'' and ensure clearing of all trades in a transparent, fair and open manner with access to all players in the power markets, the release said.
