Man kills wife after petty quarrel
Mumbai, Sept 4 (UNI) City police today arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife after a domestic quarrel.
According to police, accused Ramkrishna Gaud (38) was residing along with his wife Saroj Gaud (30) at Takshia Society, Mahkali road in Andheri here. They had married four years back and were not having any children.
Ramkrishna, who works as a driver in a private firm, had a fight last night with Saroj over some petty matter.
Today, both of them again had a fight related to yesterday's arguments following which the accused stabbed his wife with a sharp weapon in her stomach and other parts of the body.
After the incident, the neighbours took Saroj to a local government hospital but she was declared dead before admission.
The accused was handed over to MIDC police station, which has registered an offence of murder.
Inspector Pardeep Sonawne who is conducting the inquiry into this case said that they had taken the accused into custody and further investigations were on. He, however, refused to give further details in this regard.
