Case registered against 18 policemen in UP
Jaunpur, Sep 4 (UNI) A case has been registered against 18 policemen, including one inspector and three sub-inspectors, on charges of manhandling and robbing people in Sarpathan area here.
Police today said on December 8, 2006 the said cops had barged into some houses in village Savayan and manhandled people.
The policemen had also looted some of the locals.
Ashok Saraswat, Ramanuj Yadav, Sadanand Mishra, Rajnarayan Singh along with 14 constables, were found guilty of the crime.
The case was lodged by CB-CID official Ajay Rai yesterday.
