'Bed and Breakfast' scheme for tourists launched

Chandigarh, Sep 4 (UNI) Chandigarh Tourism today launched the 'Bed and Breakfast' scheme for accommodating more tourists in Chandigarh.

Under this scheme till date 16 house owners have registered themselves. This scheme is first of the kind in the region and it provides homely comfort to tourists who cannot afford hotel accomodation or food.

The scheme would provide a reasonable and comfortable alternative to tourists and visitors in the city.

A Arora family of Sector 22 here received the first guest family of Ornoy from Israel last night under this scheme. The Israeli family loves to be in Chandigarh and are happy to be the first guest of the city under this scheme.

They appreciated the Tourism departments efforts for taking the initiative of launching such a scheme.
